The Inception of Approving Corgis
June 2021, I founded Approving Corgis. The beginning of my story is simple. I wanted to do something I love, and I love Corgis.
Since the very early stages of my life I’ve always considered myself a creative person, yet I had never explored my creative passion to its fullest outside of the occasional guitar solo or piano rendition.
After leaving my full-time position as an Engineer I found the wonderful world of possibilities that is cryptocurrency. Come 2017 I was lucky enough to represent one of the leading top 20 blockchain projects, it encapsulated me to see the everlasting movement and strength of loyal and passionate communities.
Unfortunately, an organizational restructure forced my role to become redundant, leaving me without a job and feeling helpless now that I had left my Engineering career. I felt the weight of the world on my shoulders, everything seemed to have disappeared in a heartbeat. To this day, I still consider this one of the lowest points of my life, and no matter how hard I persisted to get myself back on my own two feet, I couldn’t.
Enter my Corgi, Dani. During these days Dani was my happy sanctuary. No matter how life seemed to define me or what situation I was in, Dani would be by my side — licking the tears from my face and showing me the unconditional love that our loyal companions do so well.
She approved of me, regardless.
Perspective. It’s all a matter of perspective. Even though my situation at the time wasn’t ideal, I found solace in going back to my roots — creating art. I began channeling my thoughts and emotion into my drawings, sketching Dani as she would lay in front of me. Still remaining in the cryptocurrency space — the penny dropped. The realization that NFTs could possibly be a vessel for me to not only express my artwork but to share my love for Corgis in hopes to connect with like-minded people.

Every Approving Corgis NFT not only represents my artwork but showcases a colorful and rich style that I hope you find a connection with, quite similar to your Corgi or canine companion. It also symbolizes the ambition of our project and the message we want to amplify with our brand.
Our mission is to be the best at leveraging the power of NFTs and helping others in the process. Everything we do at Approving Corgis is driven by a strong desire to reinforce that we are approved by the ones around us, helping people so they can achieve their true potential.
I am so excited for our future. We are in a privileged position: we have a unique opportunity to create dreams and inspire others through technology and artwork. Only time will tell what lies ahead but we will continue to evolve and have fun while we create and inspire!
